Horrible

All the other coffees have been great but this one is awful. Smells just like Barkeeps Friend cleaning product, tastes funky because of that as well.

Love this bean

Bought these beans to use in my new grinder and V60 drip decanter. Love the flavour. Smooth, round, clear. The perfect morning brew in my opinion. Using the James Hoffmann V60 method, still experimenting with bloom time and water temperature but overall a lovely coffee!

Never again

Unfortunately, this was the worst coffee I’ve had in a long time. It had a strong smell, almost like someone was smoking next to you, and the taste was even worse. I initially thought it might just be my personal preference, but when a few friends stopped by and tried it as well, they all said the same thing.

Excellent coffee beans as always. They are roasted to order and that is usually within hours of me ordering.

Superb coffee.

Great taste, and great value. Perfect in a V60. Using two temperature, hybrid method by Tetsu Kasuya. Inital bloom at 90C, then drop to 80C. Lots of sweetness, complexity and texture. Will buy again.

Good but what has happened to the price?!

In 2023 a kg of coffee beans was £13.50. Then it increased to £17.00 (both with a 5% subscribe and save discount). Then £21.00 in December 2024 and now £24.00 in Feb 2025. Honestly...

Really good flavoursome coffe for those who enjoy black coffee

I’ve ordered various different roasts from Redber, but have homed in on this Guatemala Antigua medium roast as the best. Tried the dark toast too but a bit too bitter for our tastes. We drink our coffee black and use a cafetière to brew. Recommend.

Delicious

I've had plenty of not only okay coffee from this site, but this is really great!

This batch is completely stale

I purchased this on the 29th (this is also the apparent roast date) but it wasn't posted until after New Year.
This shouldn't be an issue but what I've received is completely stale - has no aroma and virtually no flavour. I spent almost £20 on a kilo of whole beans (more than £20 including postage) and am incredibly disappointed.

Usually Redber sell excellent coffee but this is pathetic - would have been better off getting some pre-ground stuff from Sainsbury's

First time Redber customer, very pleased

Had been recommended Redber by friends and they suggested to try Guatemala Antigua Los Volcanes as a first coffee. Took a few attempts to get the grind size right, but once found, a very tasty coffee. Only problem the 1kg didn't last long, so need to order more now.

Rich yet easy-going coffee

I always circle back to this great coffee. A rich, smooth, slightly sweet base with sharp corners, it's always interesting and delicious.

Not as good as they used to be

For a while the taste hasn’t been quite as smooth and and creamy caramel as it used to be. I first blamed the machine, then a change in oat milk, but even when you open the packet the signature smell isn’t so prominent.

The best ever coffee

Been drinking this for some years now and never tire of it. Deep flavour but no bitterness. Very smooth. Have it with a dash of Alpro Soya barista and it's wonderful. Hope that climate change doesn't stop the crop of this flavourful crop. Thankyou Guatemala.

A favourite

This is one our favourites. Great flavour, a delight from the first sip

Great coffee, shame about delivery service

I thoroughly recommend this coffee - personally I prefer the medium dark roast but this is down to personal taste. It’s a lovely coffee for a latte, with a nutty caramel flavour.
I think it’s a shame that the coffee is roasted from green at point of order but then it takes a week for the delivery to turn up. Delivery service (which isn’t cheap) just doesn’t meet expectation when compared to quality of the coffee and lets down the overall experience (especially in the modern world of next day deliveries) - hence 4 stars overall. (The coffee rated in isolation I give 5 stars).

Wouldn't drink anything else

We have this all the time. It's rounded and delicious. I visited a finca in Guatemala where they grow this and I've been a fan of Antigua coffee ever since.
