Nicaragua Matagalpa - Medium-Dark Roast

We typically go for the Colombian from Redburr but this time we opt for a change and we’re not disappointed. These Nicaragua are amazing, needs a good 2 weeks rest off roast but after that they are amazing, sweet and bright with a good body. Excellent as an espresso or milk based drink.

Advertised as good for espresso drinks, this coffee was exceptionally sour. It also had several unevenly roasted beans. The times to pull a shot varied unpredictability. Just not great to recommend for espresso.

Ordering online was good and easy, with a great choice of coffees', and super fast delivery.

I have enjoyed all the coffees I’ve had from Redber but this for me is the best, rich and creamy perfect as a flat white. Great job Redber.

I bought the coffee for my Nicaraguan refugee students because they could not find Nicaraguan coffee here in London. They were delighted with it. We drank some in class and it was delicious, very mild for a dark roast.

Been using Redbar for quite awhile. Excellent service and great coffee.

We’ve been searching for a long time to find good coffee, ideally locally roasted and it’s been great trying different flavours (the taster pack is a great start). I use oat milk so it’s important to find something that works well with that.

Great coffee will buy again. Good blended 50/50 with OBJ.

Lovely smell of coffee. The web says caramel flavour, but we think it is a mixture of caramel and chocolate flavour.

I liked this coffee. Fairly rich and fairly smooth. I’d prefer a little richer and just a tad smoother, otherwise I’d have scored it a 5

Good overall. I was attracted by the freshness of your roasting but, of the 4 coffees of yours that I’ve tried, this is the best so far.

I've only had time to taste two of the four coffees purchased but extremely happy so far and will definitely order again.

Coffee had some pleasing and interesting initial flavours and I could definitely pick up the orange but was overall too acidic

Although this coffee has let me down once in the 4 years I've been ordering I can not fault redber.

Once I explained the issue with my coffee not tasting right they addressed the issue and replaced the coffee. Great customer service.

Unfortunately what has always been a strong favourite of mine has let me down. Whether it's due to the current pandemic or another factor.
Acidity has been so high in my recent order that it's almost unbearable. I'll have to find a new favourite
