Sumatra Lintong - Dark Roast

Excellent service and coffee, as always

What a delightful find this is. As someone who likes strong / dark roasts, I'm often disappointed when a dark roast bean makes a bitter pot of filter coffee. Having seen this come back into stock I thought I'd give it a go, and I'm so glad I did. It's rich, robust, and flavourful and could easily become my go to for a lovely Sunday morning brew with the newspapers and easy listening on the speaker in the lounge. I've just ordered another couple of kilos of beans to make sure I don't run out anytime soon.

Very good for espresso, with nothing added

Makes great espresso and Americano.

This coffee really impressed me when I fist purchased it late last year but it was a little meh this time around. Still a really really good coffee but just thought it was better a few months ago and this time it felt a little dull.

Brilliant roast, full would recommend in bean to cup machines. But works well in Aeropress too.

This coffee suits us perfectly. The quality of Redber coffee is brilliant and pricing unbeatable. Sumatra Linton Grade 1 is a dark rich coffee and ideal for our stove pot.

Great flavour coffee

This and the Indian Bababudan are for me the top asain coffee's at Redber. Lintong I find a little more interesting than the Mandheling. These coffee's aren't crowd pleasers or what I would see as all day drinkers, in that they are sweet and smooth and a bit bland. Sure it could be toned down as a latte but this has something more to offer with something a simple as a filter coffee machine and a slightly coarser grind than you might use normally.

A definite must try, great service and product from Redber as always - I've been buying from them every month for 4years. Since they have expanded and separated their coffee shop and roasting to different buildings in the last few months it *feels* like the coffee has got better.

Bought this for my early morning espresso and it really hits the spot.
Plenty of flavour but no bitterness.
Produces a good crema with lovely notes hitting the palate.

This is my favourite morning coffee... it has been for a while. I like the combination of sweetness, low acidity and dark chocklad.

This is a very good favoured dark coffee full of taste just as Redber describe. This will go on my list of top choices to order again

I have always been a fan of Mandheling but having tried this I think I have found my new favorite coffee from Southeast Asia.

I wasn't thrilled with the Sumatra Lintong Dark Roast. It is described as having low acidity and notes of dark chocolate, but I found it quite bland and the most acidic of the four dark roast varieties I purchased from Redber. It wasn't what I was looking for and I won't be purchasing this variety again.

in my opinion, sumatra lintong is the best tasting coffee in my bean to cup machine yet.
